Owner Don Hurd taught English in a Title One school before retiring to open Imagine Books and Records.  A writer with numerous publication credits, he is also the founder of Red Wheelbarrow Records, producing poetry on vinyl records.  He is the co-founder of the No Concept Art performance series.  He was the editor of ViAztlan, the International Journal of Chicano Arts and Letters and co-founder and editor of Windows, A Literary Quarterly.  He is married and has two sons.

Internet Sales Manager Armand Hurd is a graduate of Warren High School and a 85 Level Dwarf Warrior.  When you visit Imagine, he is the one hunched behind the computer with books piled on either side of him.

Ezra Hurd is our Sunday manager. Ezra is an avid reader. He also helps with organizing and promoting many of the acts that appear at Imagine in addition to hosting many of our events. 

Comic book Czar Jacob Ruiz loves the illustrated word and reality television. He is also our go to social media guru.
